Well, Yes it has been awhile, and my only excuse is life happens. It has been busy around these here parts. From new job, birthdays, adoption paper chasing, traveling a tad, sickness, broken stove, just a few hot flashed add a little of stress and a lot of joy & laughter, then that is our life here, well just to clarify the hot flashes are mine not Hubs. I am so soo behind on getting my roots done and getting my feet ready for show and tell...(I am in need of some sandblasting to go with that pedicure.)
I won't get to personal about the new job only to say that it is great, the people are great and the company is great. Add in the Elvis impersonator security guard and you have a recipe for success if I do say so.
Life has changed and some of the residents of our household are having to adjust their attitudes...As life as they know it has changed. I am talking about the dogs...and the Hubs too...The dogs are not happy that someone is not around at their beckon call...they have no one to follow into the bathroom, they have no one to take them for a car ride to Sonic for a happy hour drink, they have no one to scratch behind their ears when they NEED (not just want) it. My big girl thinks if she hides when I get ready to leave...that I will not go...she is willing to forgo the treat that awaits her, if it keeps momma home longer. That is a big sacrifice for her. How is Hubs adjusting? Well his life has changed too, he is adjusting and (reluctantly at first) pitching in now. We are almost into a groove (a routine) and settling in. I am happy to report that the groove is starting to gel...I come home and scratch behind Hubs ear and kiss the dogs when I get home...wait no thats about right...but only if Hubs has been good. Ok so I am a little more tired than I thought...but I will keep trying to get it right.
