I was re-reading for the 999th time Kailey's information we got at referral and thought I would share some of what was given to us:
- She is a tiny thing, at last medical only 26.5 lbs, which was several months ago, so I bet she had gained some lbs.
- She was abandoned at the Princess Tomb around 6 months old Shenyang City, Liaoning Province
- She is smart
- She is introverted and quiet
- She is a deep sleeper (Woo Hoo...my words not theirs!)
- She can be obstinate
- She loves outdoor activities
- She likes to look at herself in the mirror!
- She likes to be beautiful and dress up!
- Favorite toy is dolls
- She is very helpful with her foster mother, helps carry laundry and will give her mother a match to light the stove (sooo not going to continue with that-we don't play with matches!)
- She is bed pan trained (still trying to figure exactly what that means)
My goal is to put a smile on that beautiful face!
She is beautiful. We adopted our first child and she turned 3 a couple of days after our gotcha day in Feb. 2010. She is the light of our life...so don't worry about her being older..she can already walk, be somewhat toilet trained, able to eat for herself and not baby food, drink from a cup or glass(with a top and straw, yet still be a baby. She will grow very fast with all the healthy food and love and attention. Our daughter was 23 lbs. and is now 40 lbs. and a lot taller...she has grown into her head and is now not always the smallest or shortest one in the class. Bring a stroller with you to China and lots of pullups. The umbrella stroller was the best thing we brought. Also ramien noodles were a life saver and still are. A really big congratulations!

Congrats on your beautiful daughter! Bed pan trained means they use a bed pan during the night (just like in the olden days). By the way I'm not some strange person... I was just checking out the Babies! section on RQ.

ReplyDeleteYour daughter is beautiful! Congratulations! Our second daughter is from Liaoning - Dandong. Shenyang was a wonderful city. We met her in Shenyang. She was 4 years old when we met. Congrats again!
